Animal Socialization at Sussex County Animal Services
Join Sussex County Animal Services and Pennies for PAWS for Walk the Shelter Day, an opportunity to provide shelter dogs with much-needed exercise, socialization, and enrichment. Volunteers will take dogs for walks around the shelter grounds, allowing them to enjoy fresh air, stretch their legs, and experience positive human interaction.
Cats will also be available for socialization indoors.
Your participation helps reduce kennel stress, builds trust, and increases adoptability for the dogs in our care. No prior experience is required – just a willingness to spend time with and care for the shelter pets.
By volunteering, you’ll play a vital role in improving the well-being of these animals while supporting their journey to find loving homes.
