Civitan Acres Summer Camp Prep: Sat. May 16th
Join us at our Civitan Acres property in Chesapeake, VA to help “open” up the property for our summer season!
We will have three different Saturdays this spring where we get out and spruce up our camp.
There's lots to do and will need all the help you can give, so sign up today and get ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work; the campers are depending on us to make it the best summer season yet!
Civitan Acres Summer Vacation Program has been operating for 22 years. This unique program provides 8 fun-filled weeks of activities for participants of varying abilities. From trips to Kings Dominion to days at the beach – from afternoons by the pool to excursions to the aquarium and for ice cream, our participants enjoy a wide array of activities in an overnight setting that is a true “camp” experience!
May 16th 9am to 1pm
Paint benches around ground, replace any wood if necessary
Start cleaning and prep kitchen: clean out cabinets of all old and expired items, clean shelves, properly stock useable items, clean stove, counters, and appliances)
Clean fire pit (apply 2B Stone, put screen down around fire pit so weeds do not grow)
Power wash tables and chairs
Paint outside of cabins for fresh and new look
Finish other items that have not been finished to date.
