The Hampton Roads Institute for Nonprofit
Leadership Conference provides networking
opportunities and cutting-edge break-out
sessions presented by nationally renowned
speakers. This event is an opportune time for
nonprofit executives and board members to
sharpen their leadership and management skills.
Once again, VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads will present
the Nonprofit Leadership Prize to an exemplary
nonprofit Chief Professional. The honoree will
receive a prize of $1,000.00 towards
professional education and $1,000.00 for their
organization.
This year marks the 10th Annual Hampton Roads
Institute for Nonprofit Leadership Conference
coordinated by a regional partnership of local
foundations and VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads.

VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads proudly announces Mr.
Thomas Swanston of Chesapeake Service Systems,
Inc. as the honoree of the Excellence in
Nonprofit Leadership Prize. This award
recognizes an outstanding nonprofit chief
professional in the Hampton Roads area. Mr.
Swanston will receive a $1,000.00 award to be
used for professional development and another
$1,000.00 will be given to Chesapeake Service
Systems, Inc. The award is made possible by the
generous donors to the Ted Clarkson Fund of the
Virginia Beach Foundation and will be presented
to Mr. Swanston during the Conference Luncheon.
